Cokin’s Corner, Friday 5/25/18

  • May 24, 2018

Keeping it brief tonight. Very quick recap of Thursday, and Friday’s free play. Thursday was terrific with both baseball plays winning easily. The Orioles bombed the White Sox and the underdog Mets came through against the Brewers. The 2-0 moves the season to date bottom line to roughly +28.7 net, so obviously no complaints from this corner Email me at cokin@cox.net for a rundown on the rates and details, or check the offers available to the right of the page at Cokin’s Picks.

I’ve got just one play as of now for Friday. The free play I’m posting is in the lean category right now as the price is just a bit higher than I need to make it a selection for my subscribers and myself as well.

METS at BREWERS (Syndergaard-Guerra)

Take: METS -133

I’m utilizing some very strict value parameters this season and pretty much not deviating unless there are mitigating circumstances or I see something strong from a situational standpoint.

In this game, my max price to play the game is Mets -125. It actually opened at a very playable price but that didn’t last long and the game is now mid 30’s, which makes the Mets a lean but not priced low enough to make the grade as an official play. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for some action on Friday night, I’d consider Thor and the Mets to make it two straight the right way at Milwaukee.

UPDATE: THE LINE ON THIS GAME IS NOW BACK IN PLAYABLE RANGE FOR ME, SO I WILL BE ADDING THE METS TO MY FRIDAY CARD.
