Cokin’s Corner, Sunday 5/27/18

  • May 26, 2018

Weekend blog mode continues till late Monday night as I’ll be enjoying the holiday and hope everyone else does as well! Please note there will be no The Las Vegas Sportsline on Monday. We’ll return 2-3 PDT Tuesday on ESPN Las Vegas (online lvsportsnetwork.com) and hopefully our amazing Vegas Golden Knights will be up one game as the Stanley Cup Finals get underway.

Harmless split here on Saturday, with a favorite winner on the Rangers and an underdog loser on the Braves. The free play on the Angels was a winner, but that one did not make my personal service ticket. Note that for those seeking info on how to get all my plays, shoot me an email at cokin@cox.net.

Here’s the Sunday free play. This has a decent chance to get added as a personal selection, but on Sundays I prefer to wait for lineup info. Never know who might get an afternoon off on getaway day.

METS (Wheeler) at BREWERS (Chacin)

Take: METS +135

Brief summation, I like the direction for Zack Wheeler. He’s showing some positive signs right now and I give him a pretty good shot at containing the Brewers. Jhoulys Chacin has also been good lately, but I’m not a great believer in the Milwaukee righty and expect a downturn to start showing shortly. The price seems right for a play on the dog here, but I will at least wait till the lineups are posted before creating my true line on the game. At the very least, a lean to the Mets at good odds.
