Cokin’s Corner, Tuesday 5/23/17

  • May 22, 2017

This will be one of my quick blogs, with a fast Monday recap and the free play for Tuesday.

My Monday worked out nicely, continuing a positive recent flow. The Indians were a miss, but the underdog Braves won and the Twins/Orioles Over was a snap. The Warriors also cooperated, so a nice 3-1 overall.

The ongoing monthly special is working out well for everyone who joined, and that offer is still good through the end of the month. It covers a full 30 days, with the +5 net unit guarantee in baseball, or the fee gets refunded and the next month is free. The Indians were my only loser on Monday, as things are going pretty well currently. But I’d still like to nail the comps as well, so let’s see if the Tuesday play pays dividends.

Take: ROCKIES -122

This Colorado team is starting to turn me into a believer. The improvement on the pitching staff is impressive, and I absolutely think the hiring of Bud Black as manager is a big part of the reason why the young hurlers on this staff are succeeding.

The Rockies are not cooling off and they should have a good chance to maintain their winning ways tonight against the slumping Phillies. I give Marquez a nice edge over Eflin as far as the starting pitchers are concerned, and the Colorado bullpen is superior to that of the Phils, especially if this game is girth toward the finish.

The road chalk will be a very popular side tonight, but I also think it’s the right side. I’ll spot the price with the Rockies to register another win.
