Cokin’s Corner, Wednesday 5/23/18
Abbreviated edition tonight. I’m in the process of setting my opening power ratings for college football and am simply taking a quick break to get the free play up for Wednesday.
My Tuesday was a 2-2 split for a fractional loss. Season to date remains more than satisfactory at approximately +26.4 net units. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for info on available packages and rates.
Let’s take a very quick look at Game Seven between the Capitals and Penguins for the daily free play.
CAPITALS at LIGHTNING
Take: CAPITALS +130
I thought Washington played a brilliant Game Six to stay alive against the Lightning, while also snapping what was a 3-0 Tampa Bay run in this series.
The call here is simply value based on the premise that Game Seven home ice advantage is less in the NHL than any other sport. That’s not just a random opinion, it’s backed by the track record going back as many years as you like. I think we have a tossup tonight that could go either way. That makes any decent plus money the advantage side the way I see it, so my recommendation tonight is the underdog Capitals on the money line.
