Cokin’s Corner, Wednesday 6/28/17
No commentary in this edition of the blog. Instead, a quick note regarding the release of my plays for personal service clients as well as what I post at the various online sites that sell my plays.
I will, for the most part, not be playing games as early as I generally have in the past. That will likely cost me some value as one of my strengths is gauging where the line will move. But I’ve decided that I need to garner as much info as I can before getting involved, so the games are now not going to get released till I have lineup info.
This also impacts the free plays that I post here each day. Consider everything to be an early lean unless otherwise noted. There will be occasional exceptions, and those will be duly noted. But the smart move will be to check my Twitter timeline (@davecokin) for updates regarding whether or not the plays listed here will be on my personal service ticket.
Note this is only for baseball. I absolutely still intend to be firing early in college football as that’s my biggest edge, so no changes in the works there.
I’m sitting 0-2 in Tuesday baseball as I’m writing this, with the Giants in extra innings. The leans I posted on Twitter and Facebook went 3-1, but those weren’t plays. The last three days have been a big time cooler.

Wednesday free play:
METS at MARLINS (Matz vs. Locke)
Take: METS -107
I’m about as anti-Jeff Locke as it gets. His first start with the big club was a good one, but Locke has since string together four subpar outings. I give Matz a substantial mound edge here. Some other factors clearly favor the Marlins but off the starting pitching I lean Mets here. Note that this could well end up on my card as a F5 selection rather than full game. Check during the day on Twitter (@davecokin) or Facebook (Dave Cokin) for updates.
