Cokin’s Corner, Wednesday 7/24/19
A remarkably bizarre 1-1 split for me on Tuesday. I should have won the Pirates F5 play, and should have lost the Yankees selection. Instead, the Bucs blew a very quick 3-0 lead and the F5 went down when Pittsburgh blew a bases loaded, no out scenario in the fifth inning. The flip side is I probably had no business winning the Yankees. They were down big as German had nothing on the mound. The Twins had two huge chances to win late but failed after two Yankees relievers walked the based loaded in back to back innings. The game ended on a phenomenal catch by Aaron Hicks. If he foist make the diving grab, the Twins score three runs and win the game. So call it one of the more peculiar splits I’ll experience this season. Here’s a free play for today, and note this is just a half unit play for me as it’s a straight angle play with nothing else I especially like about it.
