Dave’s Free Play, Friday 2/22/13

  • February 22, 2013

Split out a quartet of Thursday plays, 2-1 hoops, 0-1 on the ice as the new coach angle on the Sabres came up short. Time now to gear up for what should be a big weekend in college with a huge load of Bracket Buster games to try and decipher. I’ve done pretty well with this contrived gimmick over the years, and have confidence the results will be solid once again this time around.

Heading to the Brain Chain for the Friday free play.
02/22 04:00 PM CB (831) PRINCETON VS (832) COLUMBIA

Take: (831) PRINCETON

Princeton couldn’t get the job done at Harvard last Saturday, and as a result the Tigers are now in a must-win scenario every time out if they want to stay within hailing distance of the Crimson. Columbia gave Princeton a pretty good battle in the prior meeting, and the Lions will no doubt be eager to put forth a good effort here after getting swept on the road last weekend. But Princeton owns several matchup advantages here, and after playing at less than their best last game, I’d rather be on the side of the better team in a bounce back situation. Short number, in fact a little shorter than I thought it would be. That is actually a bit of a concern as I also know Princeton will be receiving the bulk of the betting action. Nevertheless, I’m backing the Tigers to get back on track with the win and cover tonight.
