Dave’s Free Play, Wednesday 2/27/13

  • February 27, 2013

Tuesday night proved to be much more enjoyable as I got the 3-0 hoop sweep. One never knows for sure how it’s going to turn out, but I really like tonight’s slate. so hopefully another night with lots of black ink is pending.

Don’t forget, now is the time to get setup for baseball, which has always been my strongest game. Pre-season rates are in effect, so if you’re looking to be playing the exact same games I’m on myself each day, minus any gimmicks or extras, drop me a line at cokin@cox.net.

Nice job by Loyola Chicago as the free play last night. Another big dog captures the honors as the Wednesday comp selection.

02/27 05:00 PM CB (769) MISSOURI STATE VS (770) ILLINOIS STATE

Take: (769) MISSOURI STATE

I took a miserable beat about ten days ago when a stupid flagrant foul keyed a ridiculous last minute collapse by Illinois State in an eventual one-point loss at home to Wichita State. But I’ve already gotten that one back and then some. I made up my mind to fade Illinois State the next time out and to continue doing so until they win another game. So far, so good with two easy winners. This is one of the more mentally fragile teams you’ll ever see, and while they are clearly superior to Missouri State, I won’t be surprised at all to see this a whole lot closer than the spread. It doesn’t hurt that the visiting Bears have been a cash machine against the spread, as while they are not very talented, Missouri State is a very hard working team. No problem at all taking the Bears plus the big points tonight.
